Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the Universitat de València. President of the Spanish Society of Biometrics in 2015, he will become Vice President (Immediate Past President) in 2016. At present he is also associate editor of the two Spanish statistical journals: SORT and TEST. With a background in Bayesian Statistics, he has been visiting European and North American universities and research centers (Lancaster University, Duke University, and Statistical and Applied Mathematics Institute), and published numerous papers on Bayesian modeling applied to real contexts.
