Luzia Gonçalves is Assistant Professor in International Public Health and Biostatistics Unit at the Institute of Tropical Hygiene and Medicine of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (IHMT-UNL) and Member of the Center of Statistics and Applications at the Universidade de Lisboa. In 2010-2015, she was coordinator of the PhD in International Health at IHMT/UNL. She participates in several research projects in Public Health and Biomedical Sciences areas, and is coordinating a project that takes place in Cape Verde - Urban Planning and Health inequities - moving from micro to macro Statistics. Main interests: Statistical modeling in Health; Bayesian statistics in diagnostic tests and Statistics in urban planning/inequalities in health.
