Thomas Kneib is Professor of Statistics at Georg-August-University Göttingen (Germany) where he is also speaker of the interdisciplinary Centre for Statistics and the research training group Scaling Problems in Statistics. His main research interests are in semiparametric regression models and spatial statistics, in particular in combination with non-standard response structures. He is involved in the development of the statistical software package BayesX as well as a number of R packages.
